Shahid Maqsood, PhD

Dr. Shahid Maqsood received his BSc Engineering degree from University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Peshawar, MS Degree from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Topi and PhD from University of Bradford, United Kingdom in 2001, 2004 and 2013, respectively. His PhD area of research was optimization of manufacturing scheduling system using artificial intelligence techniques. During 2001 to 2007, he worked for GIKI as a Research Associate. In 2007, he joined the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, where he is currently an Associate Professor of Manufacturing Systems Engineering.

He has held a number of senior posts at UET: Chairman Department of Industrial Engineering Jalozai Campus, Chief Editor Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences (JEAS), BOASAR (Postgraduate) Advisor (Manufacturing Systems), Convenor Departmental Disciplinary Committee (DDC), Departmental Staff Proctor, Member Purchase Committee Jalozai and being a member of the Senate of the University.
